I honestly have barely made any art since starting my masters degree in July 2020…but the funny thing is my practice always remains dormant in my mind. To come back to the table after so long and bang out something truly precious is the best feeling in the world!

I sourced various acrylic shapes many years ago, using them sparingly in pieces over time. I had been saving most of these larger shapes to use as surfaces, successfully creating only one of these pieces maybe two years ago.

I couldn’t be happier with how this diptych turned out! This feels like the perfect use of those transparent surfaces. I know I have more art that wall space but I can’t imagine parting with these two…
